CONICET Santa Fe is one of the 16 Science and Technology Centers in the network of the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research of Argentina. It is a regional structure for promoting and producing scientific knowledge and technological development whose mission is to contribute to the development of the country and the welfare of its people.

It nucleates 20 Institutes of CONICET that also report to universities —UADER, UNER, UNL, UNRAF and UTN— and to organisms like INTA and the Government of Entre Ríos, and one Research and Transfer Center —CIT Rafaela (CONICET-UNRAF)— which is managed by the CCT. This large scientific infrastructure is present both in the Province of Santa Fe (cities of Esperanza, Santa Fe, and Rafaela) and in the Province of Entre Ríos (Diamante, Oro Verde, and Paraná). Currently, CONICET Santa Fe assembles the work of 1332 people:

• 585 researchers
• 532 doctoral and postdoctoral fellowship holders
• 175 research-supporting technicians and professionals
• 40  administrative workers

The Institutes making up CONICET Santa Fe are units that undertake scientific tasks and technological development in multiple areas of knowledge.
